About "AX総研 AI研修"
What is AX総研 AI研修?
AX総研 AI研修 (AX Souken AI Training) is in-person AI training in which executives and senior managers of small and medium-sized businesses run Claude Code themselves, using their own company's work as the material, provided by AX Research Institute Inc. (株式会社AX総合研究所, abbreviated AX総研, Toshima-ku, Tokyo). The standard course is 5 sessions of 2 hours (10 hours in total) and costs JPY 200,000 per participant (excl. tax). You can sign up with a single participant.
According to the company, the goal is for executives and managers to be able to decide for themselves "which of our work to change with AI." In a preliminary meeting, the client picks the work it wants to change, such as editing its website copy, drafting sales materials, or handling meeting minutes and accounting tasks, and participants run AI on that material. Employees who do the hands-on work can also attend, at the same per-participant price.
The company also offers a monthly AI advisory service that serves as a sounding board after the training, and AI implementation consulting that carries data conversion and automation through to implementation. These are covered on the AX総研 AI顧問・導入コンサル page. Note that this is a different company from AX Inc. (株式会社AX, AX CAMP) in Fukuoka.
Training overview
Training program
The standard curriculum consists of the following 5 sessions of 2 hours. The material and order are rearranged to fit the client's goals.
01Sessions 1–2: Get it running and try it on your own work
Understand what Claude Code does and use it on real tasks.
- Session 1: Decide what to change with AI — Install Claude Code on your own PC and run it for the first time. Check what it can and cannot do by actually running it
- Session 2: Try AI on your own work — Aggregating and formatting Excel, CSV and PDF files, summarizing meeting minutes and creating standard documents. Participants bring tasks they are working on and process them on the spot
02Sessions 3–4: Improve the company website and set up procedures that last
Make changes to existing assets without writing code, and turn repeated work into procedures.
- Session 3: Try improving your website — Edit your website's copy and tables in a staging environment, including how to review changes and roll them back
- Session 4: Set up procedures for in-house use — Create a settings file (CLAUDE.md) that tells the AI your company's assumptions, terminology and prohibitions, and turn repeated tasks into work procedures (Skills). Decide who is responsible and how results are checked
03Session 5: Rebuild one real task
Reach the point where you can keep improving on your own after the training.
- Improve real work — Each participant picks one task from their own work and rebuilds it to run with Claude Code
- Troubleshooting — How to isolate the cause when things do not work as expected
04Example topics to choose from
Not everything is covered at once; the needed topics are decided in advance.
- Web and outreach — Creating and editing the company website, planning and drafting articles for the site, planning and improving social media posts
- Sales and internal work — Drafting proposals with sourced customer information, automatically forwarding inquiries to Slack or Teams, creating and sharing meeting minutes
- Accounting — Reading invoices and receipts, drafting journal entries, preparing data for accounting software (a person does the final check)
- Decision-making material — Inventorying work to find where AI helps, and selecting SaaS tools, including whether they support APIs or MCP
Pricing
The published price is as follows (as of October 2026).
| Plan | Price | Unit | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI training for executives and managers (standard) | JPY 200,000 (excl. tax) | Per participant | 5 in-person sessions × 2 hours (10 hours). Improved work, work procedures (Skills), CLAUDE.md, a working environment on each participant's PC, and initial permission and security settings |
The price is a flat amount per participant regardless of content or headcount, and employees who attend are also charged per person. Each participant needs their own PC. The official page does not say whether Claude Code usage fees are included.
As a follow-up after the training, a separate AI advisory service is available (JPY 300,000 per month excl. tax, with a weekly 60-minute meeting and chat consultations at any time).
Using subsidies
The company publishes a sample calculation applying the 75% expense subsidy rate for SMBs under the Human Resources Development Support Subsidy (Business Development Reskilling Support Course). In the example, five employees covered by employment insurance take the training: JPY 825,000 of the JPY 1,100,000 (incl. tax) training cost is subsidized, leaving JPY 275,000 (JPY 55,000 per person). The company adds that a wage subsidy (JPY 1,000 per hour) applies when the training is taken during working hours.
The company also states the following (as of October 2026):
- The subsidy covers employees insured under employment insurance; company officers are usually not eligible. The Labour Bureau decides on payment
- The subsidy is in principle paid afterward, so the company must pay the cost up front first
- AX総研 prepares the documents a training provider supplies (curriculum, course guide, contract, invoice, attendance records, etc.). The application itself is prepared and filed by the client or its labor and social security attorney
- Other schemes such as the IT introduction subsidy may also apply, and the company offers to check eligibility
Under the revision of August 3, 2026, literacy-focused training such as general prompt writing is no longer eligible for the Business Development Reskilling Support Course. Eligibility depends on the training content and participants' duties, so check with your local Labour Bureau before submitting the training plan.
Who it suits and who it doesn't
It suits SMBs whose executives or managers want to run AI themselves and decide which of their work to use it on. The material comes from the client's own work, such as its website, sales materials, meeting minutes or accounting, and what remains after the training is something the company can keep using, like work procedures and a CLAUDE.md. Since you can sign up with one person, the president can take it alone first.
It suits less companies that want online training or want to train all employees broadly in a short time. The training is in person only and costs JPY 200,000 per participant (excl. tax), so the total grows with headcount. Also, if only executives and officers attend, the company itself notes that the Human Resources Development Support Subsidy usually cannot be used. If you mainly want to learn how to operate ChatGPT or Copilot, note that the standard tool is Claude Code.
FAQ
How much does AX総研 AI研修 cost? JPY 200,000 per participant (excl. tax). The price is the same regardless of content or headcount, and the standard course is 5 sessions × 2 hours, 10 hours in total (as of October 2026).
Can subsidies be used? The company shows a sample calculation applying the 75% expense subsidy of the Human Resources Development Support Subsidy (Business Development Reskilling Support Course) and says eligibility is checked case by case. The subsidy covers employees insured under employment insurance, and officers are usually not eligible. Since the August 3, 2026 revision excluded literacy-focused training from that course, check with your local Labour Bureau before submitting the training plan.
Can it be taken online? No. The training is in person only, and the venue and schedule are arranged in advance. It is available nationwide.
Can people without programming experience take it? Yes. The company says no prior knowledge is needed and that even people who have never used a terminal can start from the installation in session 1. Each participant brings a PC.
Can we try just one session? According to the official FAQ, the content of sessions 1 and 2 can also be delivered in a shorter format. Its price is not published, so ask in the free consultation.
