The official site gives "100,000 yen per person and up as a guide for standard SME training (one level, 10 people, online)". It also shows an estimate of an "effective cost of 15,000 yen" using subsidies, but this is a reference figure that assumes the subsidy is granted.
Using subsidies
The official site says the training supports the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's Human Resources Development Support Subsidy (FY2026) (as of October 2026). It does not name a specific course, but the rates it explains are a 75% cost subsidy plus a 1,000 yen per person-hour wage subsidy for SMEs, and 60% plus 500 yen for large companies. For a 100,000 yen per person training, it gives an effective cost of 15,000 yen for SMEs and 35,000 yen for large companies.
The applicant is the client company. The association works with partner labor and social security attorneys to support everything from drafting the training plan to the completion report. Attorney fees are separate. The official site also states that "receipt is subject to Labour Bureau review and is not guaranteed".
Under the revision of August 3, 2026, the Business Development Reskilling Support Course no longer covers literacy-focused training such as learning general-purpose prompt writing. Eligibility depends on the training content and the trainees' duties, so check with your local Labour Bureau before submitting a training plan.
The beginner course is limited to Lv1–Lv2 and, per the official description, works on "common work tasks usable regardless of industry or role". Because this overlaps with the "common knowledge regardless of role" training excluded by the revision, checking in advance is especially important if you are counting on the subsidy.
Who it suits and who it does not
It suits SMEs that want 10 or more employees to take 10 hours of training tailored to their industry and roles. The fixed courses have a clear price of 110,000 yen per person (tax included), which makes budgeting easy. It also fits companies that want to work through subsidy applications with an attorney, or that want AI adoption consulting and contract development from the same provider after training.
It does not suit companies that want only a few employees to attend. The standard is 10 or more people, and the fixed courses require at least 10. Also, the association was founded in April 2026, and its official site does not yet list the number of client companies or case studies, so there is little to go on if you want to compare by track record.
