With the minimum of 20 IDs, the monthly fee is JPY 33,000 excluding tax (JPY 36,300 including tax). The official site says volume discounts are available depending on the number of IDs. Talent development infrastructure consulting is a separate paid option.
How to use subsidies
The official FAQ says that, depending on how the company uses the service, it "may qualify for subsidies such as the Investment in People Promotion Course (flat-rate training) or the Business Expansion Reskilling Support Course", and asks companies to consult their sales representative first (as of October 2026). It does not specify which training packages qualify or what concrete support (such as application assistance or attorney referrals) is offered. The statement does not mention the August 3, 2026 revision and may predate it.
Under the revision effective August 3, 2026, literacy-focused training such as learning general-purpose prompt writing is no longer eligible under the Business Expansion Reskilling Support Course. Eligibility depends on the training content and the trainees' duties, so check with your local Labour Bureau before submitting the training plan.

The operating company reports 4,500 corporate clients for Schoo (cumulative as of December 2025). The site also lists the Grand Prize in the Professional Talent Development category of the HR Award 2024 and an Excellence Award in the Learning Services category of the 7th HR Technology Awards.

It suits companies that want to roll out a company-wide learning platform covering business skills in general, not only generative AI. For JPY 1,650 per ID per month (excl. tax), all classes including the generative AI, Copilot and Gemini packages are unlimited, and support for selecting and running training is included. If videos alone may not lead to real adoption, per-person AI hands-on courses based on real work can be added.
It suits less well companies that only want a few employees to take generative AI video training. Contracts start at 20 IDs and there is an initial fee, so for small numbers the AI hands-on courses alone are a better fit. The generative AI video packages also consist mainly of a few hours of content and are not structured for systematic AI development training or certification prep for engineers.
