What is SIGNATE Cloud?
SIGNATE Cloud is SIGNATE Inc.'s DX and generative AI talent development service for companies. It combines e-learning aligned with Japan's Digital Skill Standards, skill assessments and hands-on training, and has been used by more than 1,200 companies and 220,000 people. What is SIGNATE Cloud?
SIGNATE Cloud is a cloud-based DX and generative AI talent development service for companies provided by SIGNATE Inc. It brings e-learning courses, skill assessments and data analysis competitions onto one platform, and the provider says all courses comply with the Digital Skill Standards of Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
For generative AI, it offers three courses: the level-based "生成AI活用コース" (Generative AI Utilization Course), the efficiency-focused "生成AI×業務効率化コース" (Generative AI x Business Efficiency Course), and "DX・生成AIリテラシー総合基礎コース" (DX and Generative AI Literacy Comprehensive Basic Course). These can be combined with hands-on training that uses the company's own work as material. SIGNATE also runs "SIGNATE," one of Japan's largest AI development and data analysis competition platforms, and designs and operates METI's "Manabi DX Quest."

02Hands-on training
After learning the basics in online courses, participants simulate real work through lectures and workshops.
- Generative AI practical training — Generative AI fundamentals, case studies, setting a use case for each participant, custom prompt development and knowledge sharing among participants
- DX project hands-on — From organizing issues and setting hypotheses to data collection, preprocessing, analysis and proposing measures, using a fictional hearing record and dataset
03Tiered DX talent programs

Using subsidies
The official site states that "SIGNATE Cloud can be used to apply for the MHLW Human Resources Development Support Subsidy" (as of October 2026). It does not say which course applies or whether application support is provided. The notice carries the remark "prepared based on MHLW materials as of June 26, 2023," so later changes to the program appear not to be reflected.
Under the revision effective August 3, 2026, literacy-focused training such as learning how to write general-purpose prompts is no longer eligible under the Business Development Reskilling Support Course. Eligibility depends on the training content and the trainees' duties, so check with your local Labor Bureau before submitting the training plan.

01Generative AI training case

Q. Can subsidies be used?
The official site says the Human Resources Development Support Subsidy can be applied for. However, the notice is based on materials from June 2023, and the August 3, 2026 revision excluded general prompt training and similar content from the Business Development Reskilling Support Course, so you need to confirm with the Labor Bureau.
