What is Wonder Dynamics (now Autodesk Flow Studio)
Wonder Dynamics' "Wonder Studio" was an AI VFX tool that automatically animated, lit, and composited CG characters into live-action footage, but Autodesk acquired Wonder Dynamics in May 2024, and it is now offered as "Autodesk Flow Studio" (the old site wonderdynamics.com redirects to Autodesk's product page). It has expanded from a mere compositing tool into a broader "creative AI platform" that also includes a 3D scene editor and AI generation of images, video, and 3D characters.
The product name has changed from "Wonder Studio" to "Autodesk Flow Studio." The former live-action-to-CG compositing now lives inside Flow Studio as the "Live Action" workflow. Under the banner "Create cinematic stories with AI you control," it offers markerless AI motion capture and 3D character generation/auto-rigging from text/image. Image generation uses Google's Nano Banana / Nano Banana 2, among others.
