What is SkyReels
SkyReels is an AI video generation platform from Skywork AI (Kunlun Tech). From text, images or reference media, it generates cinematic short videos and produces the visuals and audio at the same time. It originated in AI short-drama production and is now offered as a general-purpose video generation studio plus an API and mobile apps. The current commercial model is SkyReels V4.
A correction of a common misconception. "Infinite-length video generation via the proprietary Diffusion Forcing technique" is a characteristic of the open-source research model SkyReels-V2 — it is not a feature of the commercial web version people actually use. The commercial version generates roughly 5–15-second, 720p–1080p short clips. In addition, it is currently migrating to the provider's integrated product "Skywork" (as of August 2026). The official site is only skyreels.ai; beware of unofficial sites on look-alike domains.
Making short, "sound-included" videos from various entry points
The heart of SkyReels' commercial studio is being able to make short videos — with audio — from various inputs. Beyond text and images, it can generate from multiple reference media while keeping characters and style consistent, and it supports keyframe specification and extending existing video. Generating audio (dialogue, sound effects) in sync with the visuals is V4's highlight.

Separately from the commercial version, SkyReels publishes an open-source series of models as a research/technical base. These are technical background and must be understood separately from the commercial web version's features.

Create an account on the official site (skyreels.ai). New users get 100 free credits.

Choose input and mode
Enter text or images and choose a mode such as Text/Image to Video or Omni Reference.

A short video with audio is generated. You can choose quality between Std and Fast.

Export the video. You can also generate via the API.
Pricing
It is credit-based, with 100 free credits for new users. Top-ups start at $30 (Starter); credits are non-refundable and have an expiration (1 USD = 100 credits). Consumer subscriptions are shown after login. Amounts may change, so check the official site for the latest (as of August 2026).
