About "Interprefy"
What is Interprefy
Interprefy is an enterprise multilingual communication platform from Interprefy AG of Switzerland. Where many AI interpretation tools promise to replace human interpreters with AI, Interprefy positions itself differently.
It holds professional interpreters and AI translation side by side, on one contract and one platform. In the company's own words, it assigns "professional interpreters where nuance decides the outcome, AI speech translation where scale does."
Four pillars make up the offering.
01Remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI)
Professional interpreters deliver live interpretation from a cloud-based virtual booth.
- Interpreter network — over 6,000 professional interpreters, covering signed as well as spoken languages
- How it works — no physical booth at the venue; interpreters work from anywhere in the world, and attendees select their language in the web platform or mobile app
- Effect — removes the cost, travel, and carbon of flying interpreters and hardware to every event
02AI speech translation
Automated real-time speech translation, covering the scale and language count humans cannot staff.
- Where it fits — large events, and languages too rare to staff economically
- Character — holds terminology and proper nouns in play and refines output live
03Live captions and subtitles
Multilingual captions built for accessibility.
- Coverage — over 6,000 language combinations
- Uses — accessibility for hard-of-hearing attendees, broadcast, internal communication
04Media Hub and media services
Turning the event into an asset afterwards.
- Deliverables — event recordings, transcripts, and summaries, as raw or professionally edited content
Human or AI, decided per session
The most practically useful part of Interprefy's design is that each session is assigned to human, AI, or hybrid before the event. Board meetings or sessions with a regulator in the room go to human interpreters; parallel tracks and rare languages go to AI.
During the event the two cover for each other: AI holds continuity if a feed drops, and human experts backstop the AI on the sessions carrying the most risk.
In the app, captions scroll with speaker names attached ([Maya], [Liam], [Elena]), and the top bar switches the language and the CC display.

Added to the meeting tools you already use
Interprefy integrates with more than 80 meeting and event platforms: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, Google Meet, RingCentral, ON24, Notified, SpotMe, Cvent, and Adobe Connect, plus on-site AV and broadcast equipment.
On the desktop side a dedicated platform runs the interpreter console (INTERPRETING / SPEAKERS switching, participant list, event chat), while attendees pick a language and listen in the mobile app. There is no need to switch tools or change how your team works.

The five layers a sentence passes through
The official site sets out every layer a spoken sentence passes through before it arrives translated. In a field where the conversation usually stops at model quality, publishing what surrounds the model is unusual.
Acoustic foundation
Real events have overlapping speakers, a hall PA, and noise. The streaming backbone qualifies and clarifies audio before a word reaches a model.
Orchestration
Routes each language and task to the strongest available engine and fails over the instant one degrades mid-session. You are never locked to one vendor.
Live Accuracy
Holds product names, acronyms, speakers, and context in play, correcting the output as the sentence develops rather than committing to a wrong guess.
Expert network
High-risk sessions go to professional interpreters; AI takes scale and rare languages. During the event the two back each other up.
Assurance
Guardrails that hold beyond English, European data residency, no training on your data, and a verifiable record.
How to use it
-
Share requirements and get a quote
This is an enterprise service; pricing is quoted individually from the mix of languages, session hours, and modality. A demo can also be requested.
-
Decide the modality for each session
Assign each session to human interpretation, AI speech translation, or hybrid, and fix the language list.
-
Connect your existing platform
Hook into Teams, Zoom, Webex, Google Meet, or the venue's AV equipment.
-
Run the event
Attendees pick their language in the web platform or the mobile app and either listen or read. Technical and project support runs 24/7.
-
Collect the record
Retrieve recordings, transcripts, and summaries from the Media Hub.
Pricing
Pricing is not published. It is quoted individually from the combination of language count, session hours, and modality (human / AI / hybrid), and the official site directs you to its enterprise team (as of 22 August 2026).

If your event scale is known and you want a cost figure early, Wordly with its published hour packages, or the event plan from VoicePing with its published day rates, make it easier to sketch a budget.
Security and data handling
"In the AI era, where your words are processed is a purchasing decision, not a footnote," the site says — making explicit that it is designed against the procurement requirements of regulated buyers. Finance, government, and healthcare, where data location is part of the specification, are its home ground.
Deployments and reputation
The official site shows customer logos including J.P. Morgan, SAP, GSK, and Amway, alongside sector case studies spanning corporate communications, government and public sector, financial services, healthcare, education, international organizations, associations, and sports and entertainment.
"The delivery of remote press conferences at UEFA EURO 2020 was a significant challenge. It was vital to have highly experienced, adaptable and reliable partners such as Interprefy to ensure a high level of service to the accredited media and broadcasters." — UEFA, Senior Media Services & Operations Manager
01Cost savings at scale
- Domino's — over 9,000 attendees across three days at its largest event, with remote simultaneous interpretation in 9 languages. Its Project Manager reports that it delivered huge cost savings
02On the accuracy of AI speech translation
- World Childhood Foundation — its Project Coordinator says Interprefy AI speech translation "was contextually accurate and it got domain specific words and even names right"
- Axians — its Innovation Manager credits multilingual captions with helping people "learn from each other, feel valued and feel comfortable sharing with their peers"
Interprefy won dual honours at Event Tech Live London in 2024. It also maintains a partner network with major language service providers and event organizers including Lionbridge, RWS, Welocalize, and MCI Group.
How it differs from other AI interpretation tools
| Product | Human interpreters | AI translation | Integrations | Pricing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Interprefy | Yes (6,000+, sign language included) | Yes | 80+ platforms plus AV and broadcast | Undisclosed |
| KUDO | Yes (12,000+) | Yes | Native Teams integration and others | Undisclosed |
| Wordly | No (AI only) | Yes | Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex, etc. | Annual hour packages |
| DeepL Voice | No (AI only) | Yes | Teams, Zoom, Google Meet | Undisclosed |
| VoicePing | No (AI only) | Yes | Zoom, Teams, Meet, in-person | Published (per minute and per day) |
Interprefy suits organizations whose calendar includes sessions where a mistranslation is expensive. Investor briefings, meetings with regulators, medical conferences, multilateral meetings — anywhere the requirement "this session needs a human" sits next to "everything else can be AI," it consolidates both into one contract and one operation. It is also a candidate when European data residency is part of the specification.
It does not suit everyday internal meetings or small sales calls. There, tools you can start on a flat or metered rate such as Sentio and VoicePing are simpler. If you are weighing the same human-plus-AI structure, KUDO is the direct comparison.
